Tyler asked me why I was making so many hats and we told him that it was for the poor children that were born on dirt floors without any clothes and who had to be wrapped up with newspapers. He started telling everyone that. I have just been making more hats and throwing them in a sack. I decided it was time to turn them in to the Humanitarian Center (thinking I had about 60 by now). When I pulled them out I counted 125! It's amazing what you can accomplish with a few minutes here and a few minutes there. So Tyler, here's 125 babies that will have at least a warm head when they're born.

Fun at the lot again

Brennen had to try out his chainsaw winch by taking out a dead aspen tree. Gary didn't think it would work so the kids bet him if it worked, he couldn't say anything negative for a whole week. Gary lost but didn't think he could make it a whole week so he tried for the weekend.

Camden really wanted to help with everything, including hauling firewood. Notice the glove on his hand. He had to be like everyone else. And he was so serious about it.
We now have running water! Gary's ingenious hookup for us.
Kamakazee Camden. He learned to ride downhill and screech to a halt at the rock. He must have done it 50 times. New thing we knew he had gone into the parking area (moved to Women's Start) and was going to try going downhill from there but he got too scared. Thank Goodness. We would have had to pick him up in Fairview if he went down that hill.
Even Spartan got worn out. We tried to get him out of this chair - even tipped him out but he wouldn't budge. That's what you called "Dog Tired".

A great day at the lot

It was pouring down rain on Saturday morning and there was snow on the lot. We had wanted to go spend the day at the lot so bad so we just kept watching the web cam (on a cabin nearby) to see if it cleared up. We headed down about 3 in the afternoon. There must have been a lot of rain over the week because there was 5 inches of water in our little hauling trailer. Becky decided we needed to landscape our cabin "on wheels" so we raked and then rolled boulders down the hill. It looks so nice now! Of course, we had to have tinfoil dinners. I have some very happy little hummingbirds as you can see. No squirrels yet. I hope they haven't deserted us. It was a great day. It got cold when it got dark - 38 degrees when we came home. Bet Carissa would love that with her 85 degree weather and 95% humidity.

Garon and Whitnie are looking for a place to live once they are married and everything is pretty pricey, especially if you have dogs so Brennen and Gary are thinking they could buy a duplex and rent out the other part. They would pay less to own than to rent. We looked at a few places yesterday and this is the one that stood out. It is a very charming older home. It has been well taken care of but still needs a lot of work - mostly paint and yard work. But Garon and Whit are young and full of energy. Whitnie is as ready for the hard work as Garon. Not too may girls would take on a project like this so good for her. YOU GO GIRL!!!!! They haven't

decided to buy yet but it doesn't hurt to dream.
